The more I learn about ways to help your body heal itself, the better I am at finding information on the internet. However, I am also learning that most people who search for health and wellness information on the internet end up on traditional medicine sites which do not provide you with the critical information on how to help your body heal itself.

Recently I was spending time with my new grandson. He had thrush and his physician had him on pharmaceutical drugs. He was on his second batch of drugs and the thrush was not improving. His mom had searched the internet but only found the typical drugs that are used in the case of thrush. When I began searching for a solution for the thrush I immediately found some great options for treating this problem. Of course, as you search for natural solutions you also find what is causing the problem! It turns out that due to drugs used during and after his birth his good bacteria had been disrupted. The solution was as simple as putting yogurt on his tongue. He had been living with this problem for his entire life which was 2 ½ months. And in a week his thrush was gone and he loved the taste of the yogurt.

So is it that difficult to find solutions for medical issues on the internet? Not if you are specific about your inquiry. I have found that if you include the words natural, home remedy, alternative therapy or natural cure you will usually come up with a few options for the issue at hand.

We have a Springer Spaniel named Murphy. Murphy has these long ears that are heavy and when he gets the opportunity to go swimming he inevitably gets an ear infection. On our summer vacation in Minnesota he had plenty of opportunities to go swimming in gator free water! So of course his ears became infected. Prior to my involvement with World Wellness Education I would have to take him to the Vet to get medication for his ears. But since we were traveling for the summer this was not a good option so my daughter began searching the internet for a solution. However she was not used to searching for natural cures and her search resulted in veterinarian websites that recommended that we take Murphy into a professional. When I suggested she search using the words natural or home remedy her results were much better. Within a few minutes she had found that if we combined peroxide and vinegar and placed that solution in his ears we could eliminate the infection and dry his ears. One application and his ears were great.

It is also helpful to know a few standard websites that you can go to and get reliable answers.  My favorite websites for answers about wellness issues include the following:

www.mercola.com

www.naturalnews.com

www.worldwellnesseducation.org

Hopefully these simple suggestions will help you or members of your family find natural ways to help your body heal itself.
